Cabernet Franc, the papa of Cabernet Sauvignon, is normally lighter, more crisp, and much more aromatic than its progeny. Well suited to the Loire valley where it shines varietally, it was planted in Bordeaux as an insurance policy against the poor performance of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
The Martian Cabernet Franc loves our sandy soils and ripens easily with the long warm growing season decreasing the "green" notes while accentuating the savory notes.
