Spain is the Kingdom of Tempanillo; it is the most widely planted red grape and gets its name form the spanish word for early - as it's an earlier ripening grape than it's traditional blending counterparts.
In the Martian Vineyard, the tempranillo likes the warm growing season, but are susceptible to drought and prone to high yeilds. We ensure that yeilds remain low and the vines are appropriately stressed without depriving them of water to ensure ripeness, acidity, and flavor concentration.
