Syrah, generally a good alternative to Cabernet Sauvignon, is a pretty happy & care-free little grape. It grows no matter what...lots of water, great. No water, great, it grows & grows & grows.
Because of this nature, there's a very small window to harvest excellent Syrah as it can tip over the ripness edge very quickly.
Martian Vineyard Syrah is usually harvested mid harvest, and we try very hard to keep its vigor in check with minimal water and more intense pruning.
